About & Location

The Clay Club is a place to let yourself be creative. And, if you’re at all shy about that, the club is also a place where there are many opportunities to learn the various clay building techniques, which will enable you to be creative.

Do you enjoy using your hands to create works of art? Come in for a visit. The Clay Club studio is located at the Beardsley Rec Center, 12755 Beardsley Road.

To Become a Member

Joining the Clay Club involves completing a membership application and taking a Beginning Handbuilding Class. To get started, come by the club or complete our online application.

Before you can work in the Clay Club Studio, taking a Beginning Handbuilding Class is a requirement. When your application is completed you will receive an email with additional information. Once you complete the Beginning Handbuilding Class, you will receive an orientation and monitor training. Then you’re official.

The class fee includes all instruction, 25 lbs of clay for your projects, firing and glazing fees and your club dues for the year.

If you are already an experienced potter, you may opt to be tested for your skill level rather than taking the Beginning Handbuilding Class. Upon approval, you will then receive orientation and monitor training.
